Moore AGRO INC. (MAI) is a Liberian-owned enterprise involved in general agriculture, specializing in the oil palm industry. Established in 2008 and headquartered in Harper City, Maryland County, MAI operates a 1,380-hectare oil palm plantation and a 15-ton oil palm processing facility.
The demand for palm oil remains robust in Maryland County, Liberia, and the ECOWAS region, driven by its uses in food and cosmetics. Importantly, the high cost of imported refined vegetable oil, such as 'Argo oil', in the Liberian and West African markets further enhances the attractiveness of locally produced oil palm. Recognizing this market potential, Moore AGRO Inc. strategically decided to focus on oil palm production.
MAI collaborates with GVL and MOPP to support Liberian farmers in cultivating palm fruits on their farms.
